The project aims to provide new entrepreneurs with opportunities for self-tuition, distance learning and interactive learning using a standard web portal.
The "Connect" project aims to develop new content and procedures in order to offer new entrepreneurs, particularly those starting small businesses, efficient forms of continuing and further vocational training. The focus will be on start-ups using the internet for retail trading (e-commerce). Following a methodological approach, learning modules are to be created to allow new knowledge to be acquired flexibly, independent of time, location and language. These modules will also cater for specific sectoral features.
Fora will be provided to allow individual participants to exchange experiences and skills.
The active role of potential participants in the learning process will be encouraged. With the aid of a transnational, modular internet learning platform, the aim is to enable human resources to adapt rapidly to new market requirements.
The learning process is process-oriented and geared to normal market conditions in terms of both time and structure.
The idea is to move beyond local restrictions and regional competition by providing transnational "sector school classes". In this way, "Connect" aims to create opportunities for international business ideas, cooperation ventures and product developments. Linked to the project is the establishment of a database with model procedures to assist, with the aid of real examples, in setting up businesses and with access to online guidance and meetings with experts.
