The project initially provides for the development of a curriculum for SMEs to introduce them to "e-business".

The project is intended to help SMEs gain access to "e-business". Its starting point is the premise that the field of electronic commerce is becoming increasingly important for SMEs. It aims to bring together a number of SMEs from different countries (D, F, I, A, PL) in e-business teams in order to develop and offer joint strategies for the marketing and distribution of products on the internet.

The project initially provides for the development of a curriculum for SMEs to introduce them to "e-business". In a first step, managerial staff will be trained in forms of "e-business", while in the second stage other workers will be qualified for work in e-business teams. To this end, internet-based training modules, certification guides and accompanying material will be developed.

These materials can be used by both study and training groups and for self-tuition. In a third step, the project aims to establish links between SME managers and entrepreneurs for the direct exchange of "e-business" experiences and extend internet platforms in this field. This will provide a basis for developing internet marketing campaigns, networks of sector organisations and public relations activities.
