Public profile Karl Donert
An academic, researcher and teacher with expertise in Geography, ICT and Education. In 2005 I selected to be awarded the prestigious UK National Teaching Fellowship sponsored by the Higher Education Academy. I research the use of e-learning and computers in education. I am interested in learner-centred approaches in education and aspects of citizenship. I was until recently responsible for international links and exchanges and for the development of many different research and development projects which have attracted national and European funding.
I am presently coordinator of HERODOT, the Thematic Network of Geography in higher education and President of EUROGEO (Network of European Geography Teacher Associations), a member of the Council of Europe Education Group. I am a registered Brussels expert to a number of different programmes and units. I have been a consultant to many different organisations and projects. I am bilingual English-French.
